Georgia Castles

Old Georgia State Capitol, Milledgeville, Georgia, state capitol building built from 1807 to 1837. It was the first public building built in the Gothic Revival style in the United States. Now a part of Georgia Military College, the Old Capital Museum is housed on the ground floor. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rhodes Hall, Atlanta, Georgia, built 1902–04 for Amos G. Rhodes, owner of Rhodes Furniture. It was designed by Willis F. Denny in a combination of the Baronial, Châteauesque, and Romanesque styles. Now surrounded by commercial buildings, it is one of the last surviving Peachtree Street mansions. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
