RED ALERT--RED ALERT

This message was sent to the forum, by a member who has relocated to Panama.

Panama is no longer an attractive retirement location. Been here seven months, now. Cost of living/real estate has gone sky-high, and the government has proven itself to not stick to it's promises. Banks are shady and unreliable. Building quality/safety is very poor. Inspectors are bribed-paid off. Tourist visa recently changed from 3 months to 1 month. So, all of the snow birds who would come down to stay in their condo for the summer just got screwed. 20 YEAR tax exemption just got reneged, too. All in all, their are better places.
