If while doing
your retirement home check list, you realize that you have several locations
that are pretty much six of one, half dozen of the other, then the total
State Tax Burden,
could be your key decision factor.
Type of taxes that
make the total burden of State taxes are:

Property taxes (they tend to vary greatly per
location)
·
Sales and Gross Receipts (beware more than one state agency may have
taxing power)
·
Specialties State Taxes (alcoholic, motor fuels, insurance, public
utilities, tobacco and other products)
·
Licenses, corporate, hunting & fishing, motor vehicles, motor
vehicle operators, individual income, interest and dividends, death, gift,
documents, and stock transfers.
·
Plus any other State Tax
